Collaborative Mediation
As explained on our general co-mediation page, the most effective mediation model is often co-mediation, where there are two trained mediators involved in the mediation process. The main reason that this model is not adopted in all cases is that there will inevitably be a higher charge per hour for this service. However, in higher value cases, which we would broadly consider to be those where there are assets (including pensions) that are worth close to or well in excess of £1million, then it is very likely that the small additional costs involved in the co-mediation model will be more than justified by the added value of having a second trained mediator present during the mediation process.
At Godalming Family Mediation, one of our specialist areas is in dealing with higher value cases, including cases that involve clients who want to ensure that their anonymity and need for confidentiality are respected, and we are able to offer co-mediation in central London and other parts of Surrey as well as at the main Godalming office.
